Digital notebooks and eReaders are becoming increasingly sophisticated – Amazon is setting new standards with its latest Kindle Scribe portfolio and is expanding the Kindle family with three devices that have been specially developed for productive and creative work. Particularly noteworthy: For the first time, there is a Kindle Scribe with color function. The line-up also offers improved hardware, innovative frontlight technology and numerous AI-based software features. The new models support modern working and reading in a way that copies the classic paper experience almost perfectly in digital form.

  • Kindle Scribe now thinner, lighter and more responsive
  • Kindle Scribe Colorsoft: The first color Kindle Scribe with eye-friendly Colorsoft technology
  • AI-powered notebook, advanced productivity features & cloud integration
  • All models incl. premium stylus with long battery life, available from 449.99 euros

Digital writing in new format and color

The new Kindle Scribe offers an 11-inch display whose proportions and surface are modeled on classic paper. Thanks to the ultra-thin casing (5.4 mm) and a weight of just 400 g, the device is comfortable to hold and fits easily in your pocket. Improved hardware such as a tailor-made quad-core processor, more RAM and the latest oxide display technology ensure significantly faster page turning and writing. The parallax when writing is practically invisible – the feeling of working directly on paper comes amazingly close to the original.

The highlight of the portfolio is the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft. In addition to all the advantages of the standard Scribe, it offers a new Colorsoft display that displays colors smoothly and puts significantly less strain on the eyes than conventional LCDs. The Colorsoft technology uses a special color filter and nitride LEDs that provide a natural, eye-friendly color experience. With 10 pen and 5 highlighter colors, as well as a new shading tool, there are many possibilities for handwritten notes, sketches and creative ideas. The battery life here is also weeks, while the absence of distracting apps and notifications means that focused work is always possible.

Productivity and AI: The new features at a glance

Innovative functions are available for productive work and creative writing: A newly designed home screen clearly displays books, notebooks and documents and allows you to quickly capture thoughts using quick notes. Documents can be easily imported or annotated PDFs exported using Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.

An AI-supported search function enables handwritten notes to be searched in natural language and provides a thematic summary if required. Exporting notes to OneNote as text or images is also integrated and supports further editing on a laptop. The new shading tool makes it possible to highlight drawings and notes or create overlays – ideal for brainstorming and creative work.

Organization is also easier: all content – books, notes, documents – can be bundled into workspaces. Kindle fans will continue to have unlimited access to the Kindle Shop, and pre-order customers will receive three months of Kindle Unlimited free at the start of their membership, which includes millions of eBooks.

Conclusion: A new level for note-taking and creative work

Amazon is taking the Kindle Scribe series to a new level: a thinner design, color display, premium stylus and advanced productivity functions including AI support make the new portfolio a versatile everyday companion. Prices start at 449.99 euros for the model without front light, 519.99 euros for the classic Kindle Scribe and 649.99 euros for the Colorsoft – all models are available to pre-order now and come with a premium stylus.
