ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has set a new benchmark for compact gaming PCs with the ROG NUC (2025). With a volume of less than three liters, the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 processor power and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 graphics, the mini PC is aimed at users who want high-end performance in a minimal space. Despite its small size, the system promises up to four times faster rendering performance than previous models – ideal for gaming, creative work and computing-intensive applications.

  • Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX with up to 5.4 GHz and 96 GB DDR5 RAM support
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU with DLSS 4 and Ray Reconstruction
  • Compact chassis with a volume of just 2.99 liters and tool-free upgrade access
  • WiFi 7, Thunderbolt 4, triple-fan cooling and ARGB lighting

Maximum performance in a mini format

The heart of the ROG NUC (2025) is the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX from the second Ultra generation. With its 24-core hybrid architecture, integrated NPU and clock speeds of up to 5.4 GHz, it is not only suitable for the latest games, but also for complex creative projects. It is supported by up to 96 GB DDR5-6400 RAM, which can be upgraded in seconds without tools.

When it comes to graphics, ASUS relies on the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series laptop GPUs, including the RTX 5080, 5070 Ti, 5070 and 5060. The integration of DLSS 4 with AI-supported multi-frame generation and Ray Reconstruction ensures smooth frame rates and sharp details – even in graphically demanding scenes. This not only enables gaming in native 4K resolution, but also significantly speeds up professional rendering or video editing.

The modular design allows simple hardware upgrades so that users can adapt the mini PC to their growing performance requirements.

Advanced cooling and quiet performance

The ROG NUC (2025) relies on QuietFlow cooling to ensure that the concentrated performance can be called upon continuously. Three fans work in combination with a dual vapor chamber design to dissipate heat efficiently. Even under full load, the system remains pleasantly quiet – a plus point for streaming or productive work in a quiet environment.

ASUS has also focused on customizability in the design: ASUS Aura Sync ARGB lighting integrates into existing gaming setups, while the compact 282 × 187.7 × 56.5 mm form factor, including a vertical stand, ensures flexible placement options.

Modern connectivity and additional features

With WiFi 7 (up to 46 Gbit/s), Bluetooth 5.4 and a wide range of I/O, the ROG NUC (2025) is ideally equipped for current and future peripherals. In addition to Thunderbolt 4 USB-C with fast charging function, there are six USB 10 Gbit/s ports, two USB 3.2 ports and additional interfaces for monitors and audio.

Conclusion

The ASUS ROG NUC (2025) proves that high-end gaming no longer necessarily requires a lot of space. With state-of-the-art Intel and NVIDIA hardware, innovative cooling and comprehensive connectivity, the mini PC delivers desktop performance in a format that is barely larger than a game controller.

In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the price starts at €2,218 for the version with Core Ultra 7 and RTX 5060, while the top model with Core Ultra 9 and RTX 5080 is available for €3,371. The ROG NUC (2025) is thus clearly positioned in the premium segment – for anyone looking for maximum power in minimum space.
