The Power Zone 2 is the first be quiet! power supply with semi-passive cooling. The 140mm Pure Wings 3 fan stays off until a certain load or temperature is reached and then starts up with a flat speed curve to avoid sudden noise changes. After the system is switched off, the fan continues to run for 2 to 5 minutes to increase the service life of the components.
Electrical noise has also been minimized: The coils have been specially bonded to drastically reduce vibrations and thus coil whine. The Cybenetics certifications confirm the excellent quietness with a Lambda A+ rating for the 1000W and 850W models and an outstanding A++ rating for the 750W model.
