Cooler Master is expanding its MasterFrame series with a new, medium-sized model: the MasterFrame 500 Mesh. The concept focuses on maximum modularity, flexible hardware positioning and open customization options – including freely accessible 3D data for your own extensions. The case is therefore aimed at enthusiasts who not only want to assemble their PC, but also customize it.

  • Modular design with freely positionable hardware components
  • Multiple installation options for graphics cards and power supply unit
  • Open Access 3D files for your own components and modifications
  • Compatible with large coolers and high-end hardware

Open concept with flexible hardware placement

Despite its classification as a “medium-sized” model, the MasterFrame 500 Mesh offers a considerable volume of almost 67 liters. This means that even oversized air coolers, radiators and high-end graphics cards can be accommodated with ease. The case is supplied with two 200 mm and one 120 mm fan as standard, with optional ARGB lighting.

The modular design is particularly striking: for example, the power supply unit can swap positions with the mainboard to create additional fan slots at the bottom of the case for improved GPU cooling. The I/O panel can also be moved to the top of the front – a practical option for systems that are placed under a desk.

The graphics card can be positioned classically on the mainboard or in front of the power supply unit via a riser cable, either with fans facing the front or the side panel. Cooler Master promises not only better cooling performance, but also an unusual visual appearance.

Customization down to the last detail – also via 3D printing

The frame offers mounting points for cross braces, fan brackets or side panels every 10 millimeters. This allows the orientation of the entire case to be changed – for example, to install the mainboard in a mirror-inverted position. The front and side panels are also available separately in different designs.

With the “Open Access” concept, Cooler Master makes 3D design data available online. It contains exact dimensions, attachment points and tolerances of the case parts. This allows users to design their own accessories, produce them using 3D printing and share them with the community. This approach opens the door to creative modifications, from individual cable covers to customized fan frames.

Market launch and price range

The market launch of the MasterFrame 500 Mesh is planned for the end of September. Cooler Master has not yet announced official prices, but in view of the larger MasterFrame 600 for around 220 euros, a price of between 150 and 180 euros is realistic. This clearly positions the model as an enthusiast case, which is particularly interesting for passionate PC builders who want to personalize their system visually and functionally.

Conclusion

With the MasterFrame 500 Mesh, Cooler Master is launching a case onto the market that is more than just a hardware shelter: it is a platform for creative custom builds, flexible cooling concepts and individual looks. The modular design, versatile GPU options and open 3D data make it an exciting candidate for anyone who doesn’t want to compromise when building a PC. Anyone who values design freedom should find what they are looking for here – provided the price remains within the expected range. Further details can be found on the official website.
