With the DJI Mic 3, the drone and camera specialist is launching a new wireless microphone that has been specially developed for content creators, filmmakers and vloggers. The device will celebrate its premiere at IFA 2025 in Berlin and takes audio technology for mobile productions to a new level. In addition to improved sound quality, it impresses with its flexibility, versatility and close integration into the DJI ecosystem.
- Four transmitters and eight receivers for maximum flexibility
- AdaptiveGain control against clipping
- Internal dual-file 32-bit float recording with 32 GB memory
- Up to 28 hours total runtime with charging cradle
Compact, flexible and made for mobile use
The new DJI Mic 3 weighs only 16 grams per transmitter and is therefore hardly noticeable when worn. Thanks to the removable clips and magnetic attachment, it can be discreetly attached to clothing or accessories. It also adapts visually to different environments, as the windscreens are available in several colors. The new all-in-one charging cradle is particularly practical: it not only offers space for two transmitters and a receiver, but also for windscreens, clips and cables – without having to remove any accessories. This makes the Mic 3 perfect for on the go, whether vlogging, traveling or conducting interviews outdoors.

The long range of up to 400 meters also makes the system ideal for large events, trade fairs or sporting events. DJI relies on automatic frequency hopping between 2.4 and 5 GHz bands to ensure stable transmission without interference. This means that users can rely on clear and reliable audio recordings even in complex environments.
Intelligent audio technology for every situation
At the heart of the DJI Mic 3 is the new AdaptiveGain control. It ensures that sudden volume peaks are automatically compensated for and prevents clipping. This is complemented by the dynamic mode, which continuously adjusts the volume and is therefore ideal for both loud outdoor environments and quiet studios. Creative professionals also benefit from three voice tone presets – “Regular”, “Strong” and “Bright” – which specifically optimize voices and adapt them to different situations.

In addition, a two-stage noise suppression system is used to reliably filter out background noise such as wind or air conditioning. Combined with lossless 48 kHz 24-bit audio, the Mic 3 offers a sound quality that is convincing even in professional production environments. The internal 32-bit float recording with dual file function is particularly exciting. It simultaneously saves the original track and an enhanced version, allowing more creative freedom when editing afterwards.
Maximum compatibility and workflow benefits
Another plus point is the integration into the DJI ecosystem. The Mic 3 can be paired directly with devices such as the Osmo 360, Osmo Action 5 Pro or the Osmo Pocket 3 without the need for a receiver. A 3.5 mm TRS output, a TRRS monitoring port and a USB-C connection are available for classic setups. A direct Bluetooth connection to smartphones is also possible.
DJI highlights the new Quadraphonic mode, especially for more complex productions: four audio tracks can be recorded separately using compatible cameras or software. This allows group interviews or multi-camera scenarios to be implemented even more precisely. A timecode function is available for synchronizing video and audio tracks, which promises maximum accuracy – a feature that is particularly important for filmmakers.
Conclusion: A versatile microphone for professionals and creatives
With the DJI Mic 3, DJI is expanding its portfolio with a powerful and versatile audio tool that is suitable for both beginners and professionals. Whether vlog, interview or large film production – the combination of compact design, intelligent sound optimization and broad compatibility makes the Mic 3 a real all-rounder.
The DJI Mic 3 is available now. The standard version with two transmitters, one receiver and the charging cradle costs 309 euros, while the basic version with one transmitter and receiver costs 199 euros. Accessories such as additional transmitters, receivers or the charging cradle are available separately. Visitors to IFA 2025 can try out the microphone for themselves from September 5 to 9 at the DJI stand in Hall 20-149.
