Epson has expanded its popular EcoTank series and introduced three new models: the ET-2950, ET-3950 and ET-4950. The devices are aimed at private users, home offices and small offices that value high productivity, simple operation and low printing costs.
Print faster, last longer
Epson has redesigned the look of the series: The ink tanks are now clearly visible at the front and have color-coded caps to prevent accidental swapping. Operation has also been simplified. While the entry-level ET-2950 model has a clear display, the larger versions offer touchscreens and extended control options.
A key selling point of the new models is the combination of speed and endurance. The ET-2950 can print up to 15 pages per minute in black and white and eight in color. The more powerful ET-3950 and ET-4950 variants increase the speed to up to 18 and 9 pages per minute respectively. Depending on the model, up to 15,100 pages can be printed with the enclosed ink bottles – a figure that is significantly higher than that of classic cartridge printers.
Economical and environmentally friendly
In addition to the clear cost advantage, Epson emphasizes the sustainability of its EcoTanks. According to the manufacturer, users of the new devices save up to 95 percent of printing costs compared to conventional cartridge printers. One set of the large-volume ink bottles replaces up to 63 individual cartridges and often lasts for several years. This not only reduces costs, but also plastic waste due to less packaging and waste.

With the new EcoTank printers, Epson is continuing its strategy of offering users a sustainable and high-performance alternative to classic cartridge systems. The new EcoTank models should be a worthwhile investment for anyone who regularly has to cope with large print volumes and at the same time wants to reduce operating costs. The new models are available immediately. The entry-level model is the Epson ET-2950, which starts at a recommended retail price of 359.99 euros.
