The new Anker Eufy SoloCam E42 combines 4K resolution with local AI features, an integrated lighting system and an optional solar solution. Anker is thus further expanding its lineup of surveillance cameras.

Highlights

  • 4K UHD video with f/1.6 lens and PTZ function
  • Integrated spotlight, strobe light and 103 dB siren for deterrence
  • Local BionicMind AI with facial recognition, vehicle/animal and license plate recognition

High-resolution day and night surveillance

With 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels) and a bright aperture of f/1.6, the SoloCam E42 produces high-resolution images day and night. The PTZ function allows the camera to pan and tilt for almost 360-degree coverage.

An integrated 250-lumen spotlight, colored strobe light and a 103 dB siren are designed to deter potential intruders while highlighting important details such as license plates or faces.

Smart AI recognizes faces, vehicles and more

The camera relies on local BionicMind AI, which recognizes faces, identifies vehicles and pets and can read license plates from up to 10 m away. Users can define up to two activity zones to enable targeted monitoring.

The video data can be stored directly on microSD cards (up to 128 GB). If the HomeBase S380 is used, the local storage capacity increases to up to 16 TB, including extended AI functions such as cross-camera tracking and daily event reports.

Flexible energy supply: Mains power or SolarPlus 2.0

The camera can be permanently supplied with power via USB-C and can even record continuously. Alternatively, the detachable SolarPlus 2.0 panel (3 W) is available – ideal for self-sufficient use. According to the manufacturer, just a few hours of direct sunlight are enough to cover the daily energy requirements.

However, some advanced AI functions and smart notifications can only be used with the S380 HomeBase. The camera is protected against dust and water in accordance with IP65 and is therefore suitable for outdoor use.
