NZXT is expanding its portfolio of PC components with the new N7 B850 ATX mainboard, which has been specially developed for the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9000 desktop processors based on the Zen 5 architecture. With modern features, a clear design and optimized power supply, the board is not only designed to be powerful, but also particularly user-friendly. It will be released on August 20, 2025, to coincide with the start of Gamescom in Cologne.

  • Compatible with Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 processors (AM5 socket)
  • DDR5 support up to 256 GB and over 8000 MT/s (OC)
  • PCIe 5.0 for GPUs and M.2 memory, plus integrated Wi-Fi 6E and 2.5 Gbit Ethernet
  • Minimalist NZXT design with full coverage and CAM support

Performance for the next generation of processors

The N7 B850 is clearly aimed at enthusiasts who want to take full advantage of the latest AMD platform. With a 16+2+1 phase design and an 8-layer board with 2-ounce copper layers, the motherboard offers stable power supply even at high loads. This makes it suitable not only for intensive gaming, but also for professional applications such as video editing or 3D rendering, where constant performance is crucial.

In addition, there is support for DDR5 memory with clock rates beyond 8000 MT/s (OC). This means that systems can be equipped with up to 256 GB of RAM – a clear plus for users planning future-proof builds. The board is also prepared for the next generation of graphics cards: A full PCIe 5.0 x16 slot ensures that modern GPUs can be used without bottlenecks. Two PCIe 4.0 slots are also available to provide space for expansion cards.

Focus on memory and connectivity

The three integrated M.2 slots, one of which supports PCIe 5.0, are particularly interesting for users who rely on fast loading times. Each slot is equipped with its own heat sink, while a quick-release fastener facilitates the installation and replacement of SSDs. This makes upgrades particularly straightforward, which is particularly advantageous for frequently changing builds.

The network equipment includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and a Realtek 2.5 Gbit Ethernet port. This makes the board suitable not only for high-speed wired connections, but also for wireless setups that enable low latency online gaming. This versatility underlines NZXT’s claim to deliver a board that provides a reliable basis for both gaming and content creation.

Design and ease of use

In addition to the technical features, the appearance also plays a central role. The minimalist PCB design with full coverage ensures a clean look that blends seamlessly into modern PC builds. The mainboard will be available in black and white so that it can be flexibly adapted to different setups in terms of color.

In addition, the N7 B850 offers integrated support for NZXT RGB and fan control, which can be configured via the in-house CAM software. Two 8-pin combination headers and a dedicated RGB header give users numerous options for customizing the lighting of their systems and fine-tuning the cooling.

Conclusion

With the N7 B850, NZXT is launching a motherboard that combines performance, connectivity and design in equal measure. It is aimed at anyone who is looking for a future-proof foundation for the new Ryzen 9000 processors and values user-friendliness and looks. From August 20, 2025, the board will be available in black and white at a price of €319.90 (EMEA). NZXT is thus positioning itself as an exciting alternative in the premium segment of AMD mainboards.
