At IFA 2025, LG Electronics will be showcasing a new series of vacuum cleaners that have been specially developed for European households. With four models, the manufacturer aims to cover different requirements – from high-tech robotic vacuum cleaners to classic stick vacuum cleaners and flexible wet/dry solutions. The new appliances combine smart technologies with practical functionality and focus on efficiency, hygiene and ease of use.

  • New LG robot vacuum cleaner with steam cleaning function and AI-supported carpet detection
  • Robot vacuum cleaner with integrated station for space-saving kitchen integration
  • Stick vacuum cleaner with stable suction power and allergy-friendly design
  • Wet/dry stick vacuum cleaner with AI support and LED lighting

Intelligent cleaning with steam function

The new LG robot vacuum cleaner offers a combination of high suction power and steam cleaning that removes even stubborn traces of grease and liquids. A special feature is the station with hot water and steam sterilization, which automatically cleans the mop after each use, ensuring hygiene and odour-free cleaning. Compared to its predecessor, LG has more than doubled the suction power and improved navigation with an integrated AI chip. This recognizes furniture and obstacles as well as the degree of dirt on the floor.

Another practical innovation is the AI carpet detection: as soon as carpet surfaces are detected, the appliance returns to the station, puts the mop down and then continues cleaning. This prevents stains on textiles. LG has also integrated its own Shield security platform, which ensures a high level of data protection when using the smart functions. The result is a robot model that combines technology and everyday convenience in an elegant design.

Space-saving solution for kitchens

A second LG robot vacuum cleaner is aimed specifically at European households with limited space. Its special feature: the integrated station can be installed seamlessly under kitchen furniture. An automatically opening door allows the robot to enter and exit, while the appliance remains invisible when closed. This allows it to blend unobtrusively into modern living spaces.

Technically, the station impresses with a dampening air circulation system that reduces the volume of dust removal. There is also a fully automated water supply and disposal system that runs via a fixed water connection. An integrated turbidity sensor monitors the cleanliness of the mop in real time and triggers self-cleaning if necessary. These functions set the model apart from conventional robots and offer low-maintenance operation for users who value discretion and efficiency.

Stick vacuum cleaner with constant power

LG is also focusing on improvements in the area of cordless stick vacuum cleaners. A common problem with such appliances is the loss of power due to fine dust or animal hair. The new model addresses this with micro-cyclone technology and a revised filter system that ensures stable suction power. This makes the appliance particularly suitable for households with pets or allergy sufferers.

LG has also integrated an automatic dust disposal system that reduces direct contact with dirt. The compact storage and charging station takes up little space and can be set up flexibly – practical for homes where storage space is limited. With this combination of hygiene, efficiency and ease of use, LG offers a modern alternative to traditional vacuum cleaners.

Wet-dry cleaning with AI support

The fourth newcomer is a wet-dry stick vacuum cleaner that is particularly suitable for flexible and quick cleaning jobs. Thanks to its AI Roller Control function, it glides over various surfaces with little effort and is easy on the wrists. Liquids and solid particles such as muesli or pet food are picked up in equal measure, while an integrated LED light makes hidden dirt visible.

The AI-supported learning function, which adapts to the user’s cleaning habits and increases efficiency in everyday life, is particularly interesting. Hygiene is ensured by an automatic system that washes the mop with hot water, sterilizes it with steam and then dries it with hot air. This not only enables thorough cleaning, but also uncomplicated maintenance – a clear advantage for everyday use.

Conclusion

With the new quartet of vacuum cleaners at IFA 2025, LG shows how smart technologies and practical solutions can be combined. From steam cleaning in the premium robot to the handy wet/dry stick vacuum cleaner, the series covers various areas of application. The price and market launch for Germany are currently still open, but the models can be viewed up close at the trade fair in Hall 18. This underlines LG’s claim to develop modern cleaning solutions specifically for European households.
