LIAN LI has introduced an innovative solution for PC enthusiasts with the 8.8-inch universal screen (US88v1). The new additional display offers high image quality, flexible mounting options and integrates additional ARGB lighting. The aim is to display system information, media content or personalized displays directly in the PC housing – without the need for a graphics card connection.
- 8.8-inch IPS panel with 1920 × 480 pixels, 60 Hz and 500 nits brightness
- USB connection without GPU load, controlled via L-Connect 3
- Flexible mount with tilt, swivel and height adjustment as well as versatile mounting options
- Integrated ARGB lighting, can be synchronized with the entire PC system
A compact and versatile display extension
The LIAN LI 8.8″ Universal Screen differs fundamentally from conventional secondary displays. Instead of occupying a valuable video output of the graphics card, the display is operated via USB – either via a 9-pin mainboard header or a classic USB type A connection. This means that the GPU remains fully available for games or applications, while the additional display is used as an independent information or multimedia surface.

The 8.8-inch IPS panel offers a resolution of 1920 × 480 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. With a brightness of 500 nits, it should remain easy to read even in brighter environments. This wide aspect ratio makes the display suitable for displaying system statistics such as CPU or GPU usage as well as for videos, animated overlays or personalized content.
The screen can be fully controlled via the in-house L-Connect 3 software. In addition to classic functions such as displaying hardware data, the software also allows users to upload their own images or videos. An all-round ARGB ring with diffuse lighting, which can be synchronized with the rest of the system’s components, also provides harmonious ambient lighting.
Flexible mount for individual setups
A particular highlight of the Universal Screen is the versatile mounting bracket, which supports different types of placement. The tilt angle, rotation and height position can be individually adjusted using the adjustable mini LCD mount. This allows the screen to be optimally aligned to the respective viewing axis and case layout.
Installation is flexible: the screen can be mounted directly on 120 mm or 140 mm fan frames in the case using standard fan screws. Alternatively, it can also be attached to case panels, for example using the adhesive surface supplied. This versatility makes it possible to place the screen prominently in showcase cases as well as to integrate it discreetly into existing builds. This should provide modders and enthusiasts in particular with an additional opportunity to make their systems even more individual.
In addition to the sheer flexibility of placement, the compact design with a depth of just 13 millimetres and dimensions of 237 × 73 millimetres also contributes to easy integration. The screen is available in black or white, allowing it to be visually matched to many different housing colors.
Conclusion
With the 8.8″ Universal Screen (US88v1), LIAN LI is launching an innovative additional display onto the market that is not only ideal for system monitoring but also for visual customization. The USB connection reduces the load on the graphics card, while software control and ARGB lighting open up additional possibilities. The flexible mounting bracket makes integration into different types of housing particularly easy. The 8.8-inch screen has been available to pre-order in black and white since September 19, 2025 and costs 84.99 euros.
