OXS presented two new gaming headsets at gamescom 2025: the Storm A2 and the Storm G2. Both models are designed to offer gamers and music lovers an improved audio experience. While the Storm A2 scores with hybrid active noise cancellation and extra-long battery life, the Storm G2 focuses primarily on lightweight construction, powerful surround sound and a high level of comfort.

  • Storm A2: Hybrid ANC, up to 70 hours of battery life, flexible connection options
  • Storm G2: Ultra-lightweight design at 250 g, 50 mm drivers, 7.1 surround sound
  • Both models: Virtual surround sound, ENC microphones for clear communication
  • Prices: €149.99 (Storm A2), €99.99 (Storm G2), available now

Storm A2: Versatility and endurance for long sessions

The OXS Storm A2 is aimed at users who are looking for a flexible and durable headset for gaming and everyday use. Thanks to hybrid active noise cancellation, the model reduces disturbing ambient noise by up to 46 decibels without sacrificing sound quality. A passthrough mode also makes it possible to consciously block out important external noises if required – a feature that is practical both when gaming and when traveling.

Another highlight is the total of four possible connection options: In addition to wireless use via 2.4 GHz dongle or Bluetooth 5.4, operation via USB-C cable is also possible. This allows the headset to be used flexibly on consoles, PCs or mobile devices. With a battery life of up to 70 hours, the Storm A2 stands out from many competitor models and is suitable for long gaming sessions or several days of use without constant recharging. Even when charging via USB-C, the headset remains ready for use.

In terms of sound, OXS relies on 40 mm dynamic drivers in combination with Xspace 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound for the Storm A2. This is complemented by a detachable ENC microphone that ensures clear voice transmission. Combined with a robust design, ergonomic fit and memory foam ear pads, the headset is aimed equally at frequent gamers and music fans who value long-lasting comfort.

Storm G2: Lightweight with rich surround sound

The OXS Storm G2 stands out above all with its ultra-lightweight design. Weighing just 250 grams, it is designed for long gaming sessions and should hardly cause any pressure points. Comfort is supported by an adjustable headband and memory foam ear pads that can be individually adjusted. This focus on low weight makes the model particularly suitable for users who spend long periods of time wearing the headset without compromising on sound quality and functionality.

Technically, the Storm G2 offers an immersive audio experience: the 50 mm full-range drivers produce a broad sound spectrum with deep bass and clear treble, while 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound ensures precise spatial representation. Two microphones with ENC technology are available for communication – one integrated and one detachable. In combination with DSP and dialog enhancement technologies, background noise is reduced and voice reproduction is enhanced so that intelligibility remains clear even in noisy environments.

The G2 is also versatile when it comes to connectivity: in addition to the 2.4 GHz connection and Bluetooth 5.3, it also supports the classic wired 3.5 mm variant. This means it covers a wide range of application scenarios, from mobile gaming to PC or console use.

Conclusion

With the Storm A2 and Storm G2, OXS is expanding its portfolio with two models that cover different needs: maximum endurance and noise suppression for the A2, ultra-light design and powerful surround sound for the G2. Both headsets are available now – the Storm A2 for 149.99 euros and the Storm G2 for 99.99 euros – and thus offer interesting options for gamers and technology fans who value well-balanced features and modern equipment.
