Philips Hue is expanding its portfolio and launching numerous innovations for smarter, more flexible lighting at IFA 2025. With the Essential range, revised Lightstrips and new outdoor solutions from the Festavia series, the ecosystem is becoming more accessible and more powerful at the same time. The new products make it possible to design rooms individually – whether for functional lighting, decorative accents or atmospheric outdoor settings.

Flexible, smart and accessible: the Essential range
The new Philips Hue Essential range is aimed at beginners and offers lamps, spots and LED strips with proven Hue quality. A19 lamps and GU10 spots can be easily installed via plug-and-play and controlled via app or voice assistant. White and color tone changes as well as automated scenes ensure individual lighting moods in every room. The lamps can be dimmed to up to two percent of their maximum brightness and are fully compatible with all existing Philips Hue products.
The Essential series offers a cost-effective way to enter the world of smart lighting. Starter sets include the Hue Bridge and several lamps, with prices ranging from €79.99 to €99.99 depending on the set. The Essential Lightstrips and Flex Lightstrips will also flexibly expand the setup from December 2025, with prices ranging from €59.99 to €169.99 for different lengths.
New dimensions with Lightstrips
The revised Lightstrip portfolio comprises seven new models, including the Philips Hue OmniGlow Gradient Lightstrip, which creates particularly uniform light gradients thanks to chip-scale package technology (CSP). With up to 4500 lumens, it can illuminate entire rooms or serve as a decorative highlight. Other models such as Flux, Flux Ultra Bright and Neon Outdoor cover almost every application scenario – from functional indoor lighting and flexible outdoor accents to playful gaming set-ups.
Flexibility is a top priority: The strips can be shortened, extended or reused. New accessories such as extension cables, connecting elements and brackets allow individual installation in any environment.
Outdoor atmosphere all year round
The Festavia series has been extended to include the Permanent Outdoor light chain and the Globe light chain. They offer a weatherproof design (IP65), long-lasting outdoor lighting and can be controlled via the Hue app.
With dynamic scenes and effects, outdoor areas, facades or terraces can be set in the right light all year round. Thanks to Spotify synchronization, music-based light shows can also be created to enhance the atmosphere of parties or relaxed evenings in the open air.
