Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy A17 5G, a new model in its successful A series. The smartphone combines a large FHD+ Super AMOLED display, a versatile triple camera, long-lasting battery life and smart AI functions. The device is therefore aimed at users who are looking for a reliable and modern smartphone for everyday use – without compromising on comfort or performance.

The Galaxy A17 5G has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display that ensures clear colors and razor-sharp images. With a triple camera on the back – consisting of a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2 MP macro lens – the smartphone covers many usage scenarios. The 13 MP front camera also ensures detailed selfies and video calls.
The multimedia orientation is supported by a 5,000 mAh battery, which offers enough capacity for a whole day. Thanks to the 25 watt fast charging function, the device can be recharged within a short time. Samsung offers memory variants with 128 GB or 256 GB, which can be expanded by up to 2 TB using a microSD card – a strong argument for anyone who wants to use a lot of photos, videos or apps on their device.
Smart functions and a long update guarantee
A key highlight is the integration of Google Gemini, which can be accessed quickly via the function button. This provides smart AI features that can simplify everyday life – be it through intelligent suggestions, quick responses or personalized user experiences.
Longevity is ensured by the generous update promise of up to six years for operating system and security updates. This means that the Galaxy A17 5G will remain secure and up to date for years to come – something that is not a given in the mid-range segment.
Samsung doesn’t skimp on the practical functions either: Dark Mode, Adaptive Brightness, Eye Comfort Mode, Multi Window and Screen Zoom are all part of the range of functions. Prices and availability
The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G has been available in Germany since August 29, 2025. Buyers can choose between the colors Gray, Blue and Black. The 128 GB version costs 229 euros, the 256 GB version 309 euros (RRP).
Samsung is also offering an attractive offer for the market launch: Anyone who purchases the Galaxy A17 5G from the Samsung Online Shop or via the Samsung Shop app by September 18, 2025 will receive a SmartTag2 for free. Members of the Samsung Members loyalty program also benefit from an additional 10% discount on the purchase price.
