SwitchBot is attracting attention at this year’s IFA in Berlin: the company is presenting a whole range of new products that show how embodied AI – i.e. AI that can be experienced physically – can change the smart home and even everyday sports. With robots that understand emotions, an AI tennis trainer, an intelligent smart home hub and display technology that can be used creatively, SwitchBot is positioning itself as a pioneer for a new generation of household robots and smart devices.
- Acemate Tennis Robot: AI-controlled tennis partner with rally simulation
- SwitchBot AI Pet: Emotional companion with adaptive interaction
- SwitchBot AI Hub: Smart home control with visual language model
- SwitchBot AI Art Frame: E-ink frame for AI-generated images and art
SwitchBot Acemate Tennis Robot: Next generation tennis training
A highlight of the trade fair is the Acemate Tennis Robot, developed in collaboration with SwitchBot. Instead of just imitating uniform ball machine shots, Acemate uses dual 4K cameras and sophisticated algorithms that analyze ball movements in real time with centimetre precision. The robot reacts to serves or returns within 0.15 seconds. Thanks to its Mecanum wheels, it moves freely across the entire court at up to 5 m/s, returns balls and thus enables realistic rallies.
In addition to active participation, Acemate takes on the role of an AI coach. Players can evaluate speed, rotations and stroke accuracy, call up heat maps and statistics and even view live data such as heart rate on the Apple Watch. With variable modes, programmable target zones and a battery life of around three hours, the training partner will appeal to beginners and professionals alike.
Technology with feeling – the new SwitchBot AI Pet

The SwitchBot AI Pet from the “KATA Friends” series takes a completely different approach. It is not about efficiency, but about emotional bonding in everyday life. The soft companion robot combines local voice AI and cloud-based visual models to recognize and mirror human emotions. It can express feelings such as happiness, sadness, loneliness or even jealousy – and reacts contextually in conversations.
The special feature: The AI Pet does not forget its users. Routines, faces or experiences are saved so that the device interacts more and more personally over time. As a technical everyday friend, it sees itself less as a “gadget” and more as an emotional companion that bridges the gap between the smart home and social interaction – a controversial but fascinating concept.
SwitchBot AI Hub: Intelligent control hub for the smart home
With the new SwitchBot AI Hub, the company is presenting another trade fair highlight. It is the world’s first smart home edge hub with an integrated Vision Language Model (VLM). This makes it possible not only to record visual events, but also to interpret them. This allows automation to be controlled by video content, for example: “Start the routine when someone leaves the house.”

Thanks to local processing via a 6-teraflop AI chip, data remains private and costly cloud subscriptions are no longer necessary. The hub supports over 100 devices, is Matter-compatible, processes video streams from up to eight cameras simultaneously and, with up to 1 TB of storage, acts as an independent control center for the smart home. It also offers text search, event logs and daily summaries – functions that traditional hubs have not yet been able to offer.
Creative expression with the AI Art Frame
SwitchBot is also breaking new ground visually. The AI Art Frame uses E-Ink Spectra 6, a color display technology that works without backlighting and is therefore particularly easy on the eyes. Users can use the app to create their own AI-generated artwork, enter text prompts or upload photos.

Images can then be displayed in frame sizes from 7.3 to 31.5 inches – with years of battery life and optional integration into IKEA frames. This makes the Art Frame both a design component and a digital showcase for modern living spaces.
A glimpse into the future of living with embodied AI
In addition to its Embodied AI product range, SwitchBot is expanding its smart home ecosystem with new devices including the Presence Sensor, Smart Radiator Thermostat, Indoor Climate Panel, Pedestal Fan with Air Circulation and Smart Lighting Series.

All of SwitchBot’s new innovations illustrate the company’s vision of enriching everyday life and smart homes with embodied AI – through solutions that not only automate tasks, but also interact naturally, understand their users and integrate seamlessly into everyday life.
Conclusion
SwitchBot is using IFA 2025 for an impressive demonstration of how artificial intelligence is increasingly being integrated into everyday life – be it in sports, emotional support, home automation or creative home design. With products such as the Acemate, the AI Pet, the AI Hub and the AI Art Frame, the company shows that smart homes can not only be practical, but also experience-oriented, personal and creative.
