With the FineTrack Slim S, Ugreen presents a new Bluetooth tracker in card format that has been specifically developed for use in wallets, bags and other everyday objects. Instead of Apple’s “Where is?” network, the gadget, which is only 1.7 mm thin, uses Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem – offering a slim alternative to the Galaxy SmartTag.

Slim design and targeted compatibility
The FineTrack Slim S stands out above all with its particularly flat format. With a thickness of just 1.7 millimeters, it fits effortlessly into credit card slots in wallets and can also be stowed away in ID card holders, bags or notebook sleeves. Ugreen is therefore primarily aimed at users who are looking for a discreet, unobtrusive tracking solution without having to use bulky tags or key rings.
Technically, the tracker is based on Samsung’s SmartThings network, which has the advantage of a large, constantly growing community of connected devices. The disadvantage is that it can only be used with Samsung Galaxy smartphones or tablets that use at least Android 9.0. Other Android brands or iPhones are not supported, which clearly limits the area of application, but allows seamless integration into the Samsung ecosystem.
Functions for security and convenience
In addition to classic real-time tracking, the FineTrack Slim S offers other practical functions. The SmartThings app can be used to view the location history of the last seven days, which is particularly useful for longer trips or tracking movements. A navigation function guides you directly to the item you are looking for, and a left-behind reminder informs you if you have accidentally left the tracker behind.
In the opposite case – if the smartphone cannot be found – the FineTrack Slim S can trigger a signal to locate the device. Power is supplied by a rechargeable battery with a runtime of up to one year per charge. Charging takes place via a magnetic connection, which simplifies handling. Thanks to IP68 certification, the device is also dust and waterproof, so that even rain showers or accidental immersion do not cause any problems.
Price and market launch
The FineTrack Slim S is available immediately at a recommended retail price of 34.99 euros. At the start of sales, Ugreen is offering a discount coupon in cooperation with Amazon until August 10, 2025, which reduces the price by 9 euros – so the starting price is 25.99 euros. With its combination of slim design, IP68 protection and integration into the SmartThings network, the model is an interesting option for Samsung users who value unobtrusive tracking solutions.
