Xiaomi presented its new 15T series in Munich, continuing the successful T series. The two models Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro combine state-of-the-art hardware with a strong focus on photography features, advanced communication options and a new operating system. With Leica cameras, high-resolution displays and powerful chipsets, the series is clearly aimed at users who expect performance and innovation in equal measure.
- Leica cameras with up to 5x optical zoom and new Light Fusion 900 image sensor
- High-resolution 6.83-inch displays with up to 144 Hz refresh rate
- New connectivity solution Xiaomi Astral Communication for voice connections without a network
- HyperOS 3 with redesigned user interface and enhanced multitasking functions
Camera system with Leica technology
One of the major highlights of the new series is the camera system, which was developed in close collaboration with Leica. Both models rely on a triple setup with a 50 MP main camera and fast aperture, which enables brilliant shots even in low light. The Xiaomi 15T Pro goes one step further and, thanks to the new Leica 5x Pro telephoto lens, offers a five to ten times lossless zoom and up to 20x ultra zoom for the first time in this series. This means that the Pro version covers focal lengths from 15 to 230 mm – a significant difference to the standard model with 15 to 92 mm.

Particularly noteworthy is the Light Fusion 900 sensor in the 15T Pro, which impresses with a dynamic range of 13.5 EV and makes fine details visible in both bright and dark areas. Both models also have a 32 MP front camera and benefit from the new Xiaomi AISP 2.0 platform, which produces natural colors, contrasts and depth of field with PortraitLM 2.0 and ColorLM 2.0. Special modes such as street photography with fixed focal lengths or the master portrait mode round off the options for ambitious photographers. The devices also set standards in the video sector: both support 4K HDR+ at all focal lengths, while the 15T Pro also enables 4K recordings at 120 fps and log-based recordings for professionals.
Communication without a network and HyperOS 3
In addition to photography, Xiaomi is also focusing heavily on new communication solutions. With Xiaomi Astral Communication, voice connections between two devices in the series are possible for the first time – completely without a mobile or Wi-Fi network. The 15T Pro achieves a range of up to 1.9 km, the 15T up to 1.3 km. This function opens up new possibilities, especially for outdoor activities such as hiking.

The integrated Xiaomi Surge T1S tuner ensures stable network quality, switching between signal sources such as GPS, cellular, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with the help of AI. This is supported by a Super Antenna Array, which is designed to reduce dropped connections and increase range.
On the software side, HyperOS 3 is used for the first time, with an improved user interface and optimized multitasking functions. Faster app loading times, revised design elements and the integration of Xiaomi HyperAI underline the focus on productivity and smart use in everyday life. Seamless device networking in the Xiaomi ecosystem will also be further expanded.
Displays and performance
The devices in the series stand out with large 6.83-inch displays that impress with a peak brightness of 3,200 nits and guarantee a clear view even in direct sunlight. While the 15T offers a 120 Hz refresh rate, the 15T Pro adds 144 Hz and ensures butter-smooth scrolling. There are also various flicker reduction technologies to protect the eyes even during prolonged use. Particularly striking on the Pro model are the ultra-narrow edges, which have been reduced to just 1.5 mm thanks to LIPO technology.
Powerful chipsets are used under the hood: The Xiaomi 15T Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, manufactured using the 3 nm process, while the 15T is equipped with the Dimensity 8400-Ultra. Both offer high efficiency and stability, which is supported by the 3D IceLoop cooling system. This distributes the waste heat optimally so that performance is maintained even during intensive processes such as gaming.

Power is supplied by large 5,500 mAh batteries that enable fast charging at different speeds. The 15T Pro is capable of 90 watts wired and 50 watts wireless, while the 15T is capable of 67 watts wired. Thanks to optimized charging cycles, the capacity should remain stable over the long term, even after prolonged use.
Robustness and design
The external appearance is based on modern flat designs with a flat frame, fiberglass back and Gorilla Glass 7i on the front. Both models are IP68 water and dust resistant and protected against immersion in water up to three meters deep. While the 15T Pro features a frame made of high-strength 6M13 aluminum alloy for additional stability, the standard model scores with a new rose gold color. The Pro is available in black, grey and mocha gold, while the 15T comes in black, grey and rose gold.
Conclusion
With the 15T series, Xiaomi is launching two models on the market that impress with their powerful camera technology, innovative communication solutions and high-performance hardware. The Pro model in particular stands out with its new zoom range, high-resolution display and wireless charging. Both devices are available now: The Xiaomi 15T starts at 649.90 euros (RRP), the Xiaomi 15T Pro at 799.90 euros (RRP). Early bird promotions including a discount and a free Xiaomi Sound Party speaker worth 129.90 euros are available for the market launch.
