With the new XMG CORE 15 and CORE 16, XMG is expanding its premium compact class with two lightweight aluminum laptops that can be flexibly configured. Buyers can choose between three of the latest AMD Ryzen AI processors – from the Ryzen AI 7 350 to the powerful Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 – and combine them with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 or RTX 5060. Both models rely on high-resolution 300 Hz displays, a wide range of connections and an optimized cooling system for consistently high performance.
- Choice of three AMD Ryzen AI CPUs, up to RTX 5070 with 115 watts
- 15.3″ or 16″ aluminum housing, from 1.95 kg weight
- 300 Hz IPS displays with 1600p resolution and high color gamut coverage
- Up to 128 GB DDR5 RAM and 16 TB SSD storage possible
Performance meets mobility
The CORE 15 weighs just 1.95 kg and measures 342 × 237 × 21.9 mm, while the CORE 16 comes in at 2.1 kg and 355.5 × 254 × 23 mm – both extremely mobile despite the all-aluminum housing. Depending on the configuration, a Ryzen AI 7 350 with eight cores, a Ryzen AI 9 365 with ten or the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with twelve cores work under the hood. The GeForce RTX 5060 or 5070 are available for the graphics, each with a maximum of 115 watts TGP plus 15 watts Dynamic Boost.

The new cooling system dissipates the waste heat via two rear air outlets with copper heat sinks so that no warm air hits the sides of the mouse hand. Two fans – 70 mm each in the CORE 15 and an additional 84 mm fan in the CORE 16 – draw in fresh air from below and through the keyboard. Honeywell PTM-7958 thermal pads on the CPU and GPU ensure efficient heat transfer. The result: stable performance even under prolonged full load.
The XMG Control Center software allows GPU performance and fan curves to be individually adjusted to find the perfect balance of power and volume depending on the application.

Display quality and memory options
Both models use IPS panels with 2,560 × 1,600 pixels, 300 Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness. The CORE 15 covers 100% of the sRGB color space, while the CORE 16 also covers the extended DCI-P3 color space – an advantage for creative applications with high color requirements.
XMG relies on modular solutions for memory and RAM: up to 128 GB DDR5-5600 in plug-in SO-DIMM format and two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots with an optional total capacity of 16 TB. Both SSD slots have thermal pads for constant performance.
Variety of connections and multi-monitor operation
Depending on the model, the rear ports include up to two HDMI 2.1 ports (CORE 15), a Mini DisplayPort 2.1, USB4 with 140 watt power delivery and additional side ports for USB-C, three USB-A, LAN, audio combo and a fast SD Express card reader. The CORE 15 can drive up to five, the CORE 16 up to four external displays – ideal for multitasking setups or creative workstations.
Wireless Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 6 is available depending on the configuration. The keyboard offers RGB single-key illumination, N-key rollover and anti-ghosting. The setup is complemented by a large Mylar touchpad and a Full HD webcam with Windows Hello.
