With the XMG EVO 15, the Leipzig-based manufacturer Schenker is expanding its EVO series with a powerful 15.3-inch ultrabook that offers an unusually wide range of processor options. Buyers can choose between four of the latest AMD CPUs or an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H, allowing them to tailor the device to their requirements. Combined with a high-resolution display, large battery and generous memory, the EVO 15 is positioned as a versatile companion for everyday use, gaming and creative applications.

  • Choice of four AMD CPUs or Intel Core Ultra 7 255H
  • 15.3-inch display with 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, 500 nits and up to 300 Hz
  • Up to 128 GB DDR5 RAM and 16 TB SSD storage possible
  • Aluminum housing with dual-fan cooling system and 99.8 Wh battery

Flexible CPU options and power profiles

The EVO 15 stands out from typical ultrabooks thanks to its processor options. The AMD version (E25) can be configured with a Ryzen 7 H 255, Ryzen AI 7 350, Ryzen AI 9 365 or the top model Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. The latter models come with a dedicated NPU, which offers acceleration advantages for AI-supported workloads such as image processing or language models. The Intel version (M25) relies on the Core Ultra 7 255H, which supports exclusive features such as Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 7.

Regardless of the choice, the cooling system with two 70 mm fans, 130 copper fins and thermal pads from Honeywell offers enough reserves to operate the processors continuously at 90 watts in overboost mode. The Enthusiast (54/45 W) and Balanced (35 W) profiles are also available for different usage scenarios. This enables the balancing act between maximum performance and energy-efficient operation.

Display and input comfort

The 15.3-inch display in 16:10 format offers a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, a brightness of 500 nits and 100% sRGB coverage. While the AMD models enable a refresh rate of up to 300 Hz, the Intel version is technically limited to 240 Hz. Both FreeSync (AMD) and Adaptive Sync (Intel) are supported.

A practical detail is the 180-degree opening angle, complemented by a Full HD webcam with Windows Hello and privacy shutter.
The EVO 15 is also well thought-out when it comes to typing: the edge-to-edge keyboard has a full numeric keypad, offset arrow keys and white LED backlighting. The large glass touchpad measures 123 x 77.5 mm and is Windows Precision compatible, making precise input easier.

Memory, ports and connectivity

With two M.2 slots (PCIe 4.0), the EVO 15 allows memory expansions of up to 16 TB SSD, while two SO-DIMM slots support up to 128 GB DDR5 RAM. Intel models also offer CSO DIMM support with up to 6400 MT/s, while AMD versions use DDR5-5600.

The connections are plentiful: USB-C with power delivery (140 W), HDMI and Gigabit LAN are available on the rear. There are differences depending on the platform: AMD offers USB4 with DisplayPort 2.1 (DP40) and HDMI 2.1, while Intel relies on Thunderbolt 4 with DP 2.1 (DP80) and HDMI 2.0. This is complemented by three USB-A ports, another USB-C (100 W), an SD Express card reader and a combined audio connection. Wi-Fi 6E (AMD) or Wi-Fi 7 (Intel) are available for wireless connections.

Battery and mobility

Despite its performance, the EVO 15 remains mobile with a weight of 1.75 kg. The permanently installed 99.8 Wh battery supports fast charging via USB-C and achieves long runtimes in combination with the display’s energy-saving 60 Hz mode. It is charged via a compact 150-watt power supply unit, which is already used in the EVO 14.
