The NiPoGi AM06 Pro is delivered in a compact gray and black box. On the front of the box there are only the words “NiPoGi” and “Mini-PC”, but no model name. The back contains information about the model and technical data, such as the size of the RAM and mass storage.

The box is divided inside. On the left is the Mini PC, on the right is the power supply unit required for operation and other accessories. The accessories include a 2.5″ SATA adapter, an HDMI cable, a VESA mount and a user manual.

Design and workmanship of the NiPoGi AM06 Pro

  • Housing with small dimensions and a volume of 0.871 l
  • Housing made of plastic

The NiPoGi AM06 Pro is black and not available in other colors. The Mini PC housing has a base area of 13.2 x 13.2 cm and a height of 5 cm, the volume is 0.871 l. The weight of the Mini-PC is 480 g and the weight of the power supply unit is 152 g.

The housing of the AM06 Pro is made of plastic. The top of the housing is divided diagonally. At the front left and on the adjacent side surfaces, the surface of the case is rather smooth and matt. At the rear right and on the adjacent side surfaces, the surface is textured and glossy in the indentations of the texture. The power button is located at the front left and is surrounded by milky plastic. The edge of the power button lights up red when switched on.

The ports are located on the front and back of the casing. Ventilation openings for air and heat exchange are located at the bottom on the left and right sides, while ventilation openings are located at the top on the rear.

There are two internal threads for the supplied VESA mount and four Phillips screws on the underside of the housing. To open the housing, you only need to loosen the four screws. There are rubber pads around the four screws to prevent the Mini PC from slipping.

The material and build quality of the AM06 Pro are good. The casing leaves a good impression and has no defects, but cannot compete with the quality of a metal casing. However, the latter is also more likely to be found on more expensive Mini PCs.

Practical test of the NiPoGi AM06 Pro

  • Pre-installed Windows 11 Pro
  • Sufficient performance for applications
  • Low performance in gaming
  • Low noise level and low power consumption

The NiPoGi AM06 Pro comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. After a few minutes, which includes the setup and installation of updates, the mini PC is ready for use. NiPoGi does not include any bloatware and we were also unable to find any potential malware.

In the test, the AM06 Pro impressed with everyday office and multimedia applications. We did not notice any problems or disadvantages in these applications, such as noticeable loading or waiting times, compared to significantly faster hardware. We also did not notice any problems when using several applications at the same time. The gaming performance is low, as shown in the following performance tests. In the benchmark of the game Shadow of the Tomb Raider from 2018, we achieved an average of 15 fps (min. 9 fps, max. 23 fps) at a resolution of 1920×1080 px with medium details

The AM06 Pro remains quiet in office and multimedia applications. Only in demanding applications such as 3DMark or games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider does the Mini-PC regularly get a little louder. The Mini-PC doesn’t get very loud, but it is clearly audible.

The power consumption is 12 to 18 W for simple applications and up to 36 W for demanding applications such as 3DMark (measured with a Shelly Plug S). The included power supply unit has an output power of 65 W.

Benchmarks: SSD, applications and gaming

To determine the performance of the NiPoGi AM06 Pro in the test, we use the benchmarks of various tools for the performance of the SSD, applications and gaming.

As in our SSD tests, we determine the performance of the SSD with the tools AS SSD and CrystalDiskMark. The tools measure the read and write transfer rates in various tests and thus enable a comparison with other SSDs.

We determine the performance in applications with the tools Cinebench R23 and PCMark 10. Cinebench measures the performance of the processor in a single core test and a multi-core test and thus enables a comparison with other processors. In addition to the processor, the RAM also has an influence on the results; the influence of other components is negligible. PCMark 10, on the other hand, measures the performance of applications in various tests that include everyday (work) tasks and gaming. In addition to the processor, the RAM, graphics unit and SSD also have an impact on the results.

We also determine gaming performance with 3DMark. 3DMark measures the performance in the Fire Strike test (DX11) and the Time Spy test (DX12) and thus enables a comparison with other graphics units. Since the AM06 Pro is a mini PC for office and multimedia applications and the technical data also indicates a low performance in gaming, we will not include any further benchmarks here.

In addition, we also perform the benchmarks with 2x 16 GB RAM (DDR4-2666), as many processors benefit significantly from dual-channel RAM.

Performance of the SSD

The installed SATA SSD in the M.2 form factor is an unknown model from the manufacturer AirDisk. With an NVMe SSD (PCIe 3.0) in the M.2 form factor, maximum transfer rates of up to 4,000 MB/s are possible; in practice, transfer rates of up to 3,500 MB/s are achieved With a SATA SSD, only maximum transfer rates of up to 600 MB/s are possible; in practice, transfer rates of up to 550 MB/s are achieved.

In the AS SSD benchmark, the SSD achieves 510.53 MB/s for sequential reads and 434.47 MB/s for sequential writes. In the 4K test, it achieves 24.51 MB/s when reading and 75.42 MB/s when writing. The benchmark score of 728 points is correspondingly low. In the CrystalDiskMark, the SSD achieves 547.06 MB/s for sequential reads and 462.54 MB/s for sequential writes. In the 4K test, it achieves 35.72 MB/s when reading and 87.29 MB/s when writing.

The transfer rates of the SATA SSD are therefore very low and the performance of the SSD is poor. The performance is sufficient for office and multimedia applications, but an NVMe SSD offers significantly higher transfer rates for only a small surcharge.

Performance with applications

In Cinebench R23, the NiPoGi AM06 Pro with 1x 16 GB RAM achieves 8,168 points in the multi-core test and 1,427 points in the single-core test. For comparison: a current processor for desktop systems, such as the AMD Ryzen 7 7700 from the Raphael series (Zen 4) achieves 1,932 points in the multi-core test and 19,540 points in the single-core test. However, the thermal design power of this processor is specified by AMD as up to 65 W. The AM06 Pro achieved 5,377 points in PCMark 10. With 2x 16 GB RAM, we achieve up to 2 % more points in Cinebench and up to 8 % more points in PCMark 10.

Benchmark Result with 1x 16 GB RAM Result with 2x 16 GB RAM
Cinebench R23 Multi Core 8,168 pts. 8,356 pts (+2 %)
Cinebench R23 Single Core 1,427 pts. 1,423 pts (+0 %)
PCMark 10 total score 5,377 pts. 5,582 pts (+4 %)
PCMark 10 Essentials 9,320 pts. 9,496 pts (+2 %)
PCMark 10 Productivity 8,943 pts. 9,104 pts (+2 %)
PCMark 10 Digital Content Creation 5,062 pts. 5,461 pts (+8 %)

Gaming performance

In 3DMark, the NiPoGi AM06 Pro with 1x 16 GB RAM achieves 2,356 points in the Fire Strike test (DX11) and 2,356 points in the Time Spy test (DX12). The gaming performance is low and the mini PC is less suitable for gaming. Older or less demanding games can still be played well, but newer or more demanding games are not. With 2x 16 GB RAM, we achieve up to 43% more points.

Benchmark Result with 1x 16 GB RAM Result with 2x 16 GB RAM
3DMark Fire Strike (DX11) 2,356 pts. 3,364 pts (+43 %)
3DMark Time Spy (DX12) 943 pts. 1,342 pts (+42 %)

NiPoGi AM06 Pro test: Conclusion

The NiPoGi AM06 Pro can convince with office and multimedia applications in the test. The Mini-PC has its strengths in these applications and offers sufficient performance with low noise and low power consumption. We also like the design, the workmanship, the number and selection of ports and the USB-C port for the power supply.

The AM06 Pro has its weaknesses when it comes to SSD performance and gaming. The SATA SSD offers sufficient performance for office and multimedia applications, but an NVMe SSD offers significantly higher transfer rates for only a small surcharge. The gaming performance is low and the mini PC is less suitable for gaming.

The NiPoGi AM06 Pro with the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U, 16 GB RAM and a 500 GB SSD is currently available for €349 (as of 17.09.2025). Similar mini PCs from other manufacturers, such as Beelink or Geekom, are available for between €300 and €400. Prices change very frequently due to various discount campaigns. The AM06 Pro is available in several configurations. As the Mini-PC sometimes benefits significantly from dual-channel RAM in the benchmarks, configurations with 2x 16 GB RAM may be the better alternative, depending on the price.
